Re-installing WinG and/or Video for Windows
If our support team has instructed you to reinstall either WinG or Video for Windows, please follow the directions below:
Download either wing.zip (http://support.selectsoft.com/download/wing.zip) or vfw.zip (http://support.selectsoft.com/download/vfw.zip) from our server to a location on your disk (such as your desktop).
Extract the zip file (or just double-click it in Windows XP) to a temporary folder.
In the temporary folder (or window created by double-clicking in XP), you will see a large number of files. (53 for Video for Windows, 79 for WinG.) Double-click the "setup.exe" file.
Proceed through the installation and reboot your computer.
If we instructed you to install both WinG and Video for Windows, please re-install WinG first. Please also reboot between installs. Once you are done installing, you may delete the zip file(s) you downloaded and the temporary folders you created.
If you need a utility to unzip the files, please try the completely free Info-Zip WiZ (http://www.info-zip.org/pub/infozip/WiZ.html). In WiZ, please select Extract from the Archive menu to extract the zip file.
