Sound Error: DK Software on Windows XP

DK software being run on Windows XP may report one of the following errors:

ERROR MESSAGE: "The Sound decompression software has not been installed properly. Please run setup and try again. This program will now terminate."

ERROR MESSAGE: "The sound software is not installed properly or has been disabled. For more information see the READ ME file installed with this program. This title will terminate."

This problem occurred with the introduction of Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1), and in the most recent release of Windows XP.

Solution: DK has created a patch to fix this error. You may download this patch by clicking the following link. Follow the installation instructions as listed on the download page:
http://www.learnatglobal.com/SPupdate.exe

This patch only needs to be applied once. If you have several DK titles on your computer, they will all be fixed by this patch. If you install a new DK product after the patch is applied, the new title will automatically use it.
